About the Role :

EnergyCAP's Technology Division is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting EnergyCAP's SaaS products (Energy & Sustainability ERP).

EnergyCAP, LLC is seeking an experienced energy & sustainability expert for the role of Energy Management and Sustainability Director to serve as the corporate Subject Matter Expert (SME) on software functionality, data analysis and presentation, documentation, training, and technical solutions related to the energy & sustainability management aspects of energy consumption, cost, and carbon accounting.

Key Responsibilities :

Industry Connection / Competitive Analysis

  • Participate in relevant industry groups, organizations, and conferences related to utilities, energy, and sustainability, aligning with our product suite and company strategy.
  • Report on industry trends, standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Track emerging technologies and techniques.
  • Provide competitive analysis of solutions like the EnergyCAP product suite.

Product Development

  • Provide expertise in support of product development and roadmap planning.
  • Actively participate in product design and planning.
  • Represent principles, use cases, and best practices throughout product development for :
  • Energy and utility management reports and dashboards.
  • Sustainability reporting, including industry-standard reporting requirements.
  • Measurement and Verification (M&V) techniques and practices to ensure compliance with IPMVP and other industry standards / guidelines.
  • Smart meter, building automation / management system (BAS / BMS), and interval data connectivity options and best practices for data acquisition.

Technical Sales and Marketing Support

  • Review Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and other sales solicitations for unique energy management requirements and propose technical solutions to meet prospects’ needs.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to ensure proposed EnergyCAP solutions meet prospects' needs.
  • Participate in sales presentations and working sessions with customers and prospects.
  • Deliver talks and presentations to represent EnergyCAP at industry conferences and forums.
  • Collaborate with marketing staff to ensure EnergyCAP materials, website, blogs, advertising, etc., accurately and effectively address the needs of energy & sustainability managers.
  • Assist marketing team in curating energy and sustainability content (articles, blogs, etc.).
  • Collaborate with customers and industry experts to develop whitepapers and webinars.

Advise Project Implementation

  • Collaborate with Project Management (PMO) staff to address the needs of new customers.
  • Interact with customers to discuss their needs and document specific user requirements supporting project deliverables, custom development, reporting needs, etc.

Training / Documentation Support

  • Provide ideas and examples to the Instructional Designer for inclusion in customer and employee training materials.
  • Review training content for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Conduct live training sessions on product functionality for staff / customers.
  • Collaborate with Technical Writer to ensure help documentation accurately and effectively addresses product functionality.
  • Educate Staff on energy & sustainability topics and industry trends.

Preferred Experience & Skills :

  • Energy Manager experience.
  • Participation in trade associations, such as the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) or other energy and sustainability trade or professional organizations.
  • AEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
  • AEE Certified M&V Professional.
  • Experience developing and publishing corporate sustainability reports.
  • Experience using energy and sustainability information software, such as utility bill management, carbon reporting, interval data acquisition and analysis, building energy modeling, or facility asset management.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Preferred EnergyCAP product suite experience.

Pay Range : $130,000 - $150,000

$130,000 - $150,000

Pay is commensurate on a variety of factors, including experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
