The go-to sports website in Montana is seeking an ambitious and enterprising reporter to cover western Montana high schools, primarily in the Bitterroot Valley, and support coverage of University of Montana athletics.
This is a new full-time position that will work out of The Missoulian and Ravalli Republic newsrooms. The ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, writing features, covering games, building relationships, and helping to manage print page production.
406mtsports.com is Lee Enterprises’ statewide sports website, bringing together coverage from across the Last Best Place including high schools from Billings to Missoula to Kalispell, the NCAA Division I Big Sky Conference with Montana and Montana State, and the NAIA’s Frontier Conference with Carroll College in Helena, Montana Tech in Butte, and the University of Providence in Great Falls.
There will be opportunities to write University of Montana features and Griz football sidebars.
