About Chief Marketing Office (CMO)
Marketing develops and deploys customized marketing plans and campaigns designed to attract new customers, deepen engagement with existing customers, develop award winning products, and deliver an exceptional customer experience for our Cobranded credit card, Branded card, and deposits programs.
Marketing cuts across multiple disciplines in digital, insights, creative, communications, direct mail, call center, and face to face activities to deliver a seamless multi-channel approach to meeting business goals and objectives.
Overall purpose of role
Marketing Planning is a pivotal role to B- and leads the marketing efforts for the launch of new functionality, new products or a new partner.
The Marketing planner is the central point of contact for all customer facing marketing collateral and is responsible for ensuring all deadlines are achieved liaising between marketing and key stakeholders throughout the bank on critical marketing project milestones.
A resource in this role will need to be a strategic marketing thinker and project manager adept at stakeholder management and can manage multiple work streams.
Key Accountabilities
Marketing coordination / support of large retail partner
Oversee the progression and implementation of major creative initiatives for a larger retail partner. Manage the creative asset timeline for all marketing deliverables as the marketing central point of contact.
This includes the development of project plans, managing to planned dates and milestones and communicating out progress and risks to both internal and external contacts.
- Develop project plans, working closely with the overall Project Manager to ensure alignment
- Work with a B-agency to develop the creative platform that will be used to launch new functionality, inclusive of creative look / feel, tone of voice and integration into existing programs.
- Review / manage all creative / collateral to ensure consistency of message and look / feel.
- Ensure creative developed aligns with guidelines and is progressing through necessary reviews within established SLAs.
- Lead table reviews with Legal / Compliance / Comms / Disclosure teams as needed.
- Keep track of all creative spend for the project
- Drive decisions and manage flawless execution of initiatives, all while working closely with channel leads and partner managers to maintain consistency of approach across channels.
- Package end-to-end view of all creative.
Assistance with other initiatives / projects
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
The person in this role will be a key part of the Marketing Team. The role requires interaction with various internal teams in order to manage key product initiatives and marketing positioning approvals.
Decision-making and Problem Solving
This person will be required to work as part of a team to drive business objectives. They will work toward consensus building and alignment with the strategic direction of the programs.
A candidate for this position should have experience working projects, an understanding of how to market products, and an understanding of existing marketing programs.
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards.

Essential Skills / Basic Qualifications :
- 4-year college degree required (business related field preferred)
- 4+ years’ experience in a major corporation supporting marketing / communications / project management
- Strong background in creative
- Credit card banking industry experience
- Strong communications skills both written and spoken
Desirable skills / Preferred Qualifications :
- Demonstrated leadership ability and proven track record of marketing business development and aligning strategic direction.
- Candidate should be detail oriented, work well in cross-functional team and facilitate strategic agendas.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. This individual will communicate with various levels of individuals cross-functionally, including executives, day-to-day contacts, peers, and external stakeholders.
- An experienced and strong eye for multi-channel creative execution (especially direct / digital), potentially having worked in an agency.
- Instinctive approach to understanding what makes effective customer communications, augmented by outstanding observational skills.
