Summary :
Lead the Purchasing Team to procure goods and services for resale or company use. Ensure the best quality at the lowest price by evaluating suppliers and finalizing contracts.
Maintain a list of approved suppliers.
Responsibilities :
- Forecast demand to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Seek opportunities to improve quality, service, and cost.
- Identify and source new suppliers.
- Develop performance targets and track supplier performance.
- Update and manage the approved supplier list.
- Conduct supplier analysis and screening.
- Resolve cost-related issues with Accounting.
- Implement and maintain purchasing policies and procedures.
- Analyze supplier proposals and recommend awards.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with leadership and suppliers.
- Manage and develop Purchasing staff.
- Provide mentorship and backup support.
Technical Skills :
- Preferred experience with ERP / MRP reporting.
- Strong math, computer skills, and proficiency in Office software.
- Skilled in supplier assessment, contract evaluation, value analysis, and negotiation.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with internal departments and suppliers effectively.
