Job Description
- Processing of requisitions for materials, equipment, and services.
- Identification and selection of suppliers
- Coordinate transportation and logistics requirements by selecting appropriate transportation method for items purchased;
- Work cross-functionally with maintenance, operations, engineering, environmental, laboratory, health & safety and training on a daily basis, and with legal in negotiating terms and conditions
- Negotiate terms and conditions (T&C's), hourly labor / equipment rates, mark-ups, prices, etc., with Supplier / Contractor to obtain the best possible outcome for company.
- Develop and monitor procurement agreements by gathering and analyzing data and / or assisting with preparing and processing bid invitations.
- Monitor PO's, contracts, and suppliers for open PO's / contracts.
- Monitor supplier performance and assist in the development of performance metrics
- Identify bidders and prepare bids. Conduct bid evaluations.
- Prepare RFx and manage sourcing events for purchases of goods and / or services.
- Prepare goods and services agreements including master agreements.
- 5-10% Travel required

The Successful Applicant
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.
In lieu of a degree, six years minimum experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sourcing and Procurement, preferably in the energy industry or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier and category management.
- Proficiency in existing procurement and / or inventory control systems.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive, persistent, and takes ownership of responsibilities and issues.
- Effective negotiator with the ability to influence others.
- Capability to lead
- Proficiency in the use of computer technology with emphasis on Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage several tasks concurrently.
