We are looking for a Global R&D Quality Group Leader to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Research Triangle Park, NC.

The Global R&D Quality Group Leader will lead a global team of R&D Quality Managers. They will coach Quality managers to provide Quality Management leadership to implement, maintain and improve the Seeds & Traits R&D Quality Management System (QMS), and coach the Digital QM Manager to implement improved application systems for Quality.
As a Group Leader Global R&D Quality, you create chemistry by...
- Leading a global team of R&D Quality Managers.
- Enabling a Quality culture and develop the global R&D Quality Management Framework with the purpose of maintaining and improving the quality of all R&D operations.
- Driving global Quality alignment within Seeds & Traits R&D through efficient and effective Quality processes and Quality Assessments.
- Supporting digitalization of Quality Management documentation, training, and records management.
- Engaging with Quality Management stakeholders throughout BASF Agricultural Solutions.
- Supporting the Seeds R&D Process Team in translating governance to processes, guidance, and checklists within the Seeds & Traits global community.
If you have...
- Ph.D. in an R&D related discipline (e.g. Agronomy, Plant Science, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology), or a M.Sc. degree with a strong background in both science and operations.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in R&D leadership.
- Knowledge of formal quality management system requirements.
- Solid understanding of agricultural R&D industry processes.
- Ability to hear customers and prioritize among competing needs and to manage ambiguity and take independent initiative to develop strategic goals.
- Strong people leader skills through influence as well as direct reporting lines.
- Training and experience in Lean Six Sigma and Agile work environments (preferred).
- Working knowledge of digital tools, including citizen development tools, for document management, training, and records maintenance.
- Experience in project management.
- Ability to travel up to 10%, domestically and internationally
