Candidates can expect :
- Evening and / or weekend hours
- 10+ hours per week, with potential to increase hours soon

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA
- Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living
- Work one-on-one with members to direct them towards their health / wellness goals, as well as programs in the Y that best fit their goals.
- Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members
- Utilizes tools and information for the purpose of increasing member knowledge of fitness and nutrition, as well as fitness or nutrition programs provided through the YMCA
- Maintain and clean equipment according to the Wellness Center Cleaning Schedule, or as requested by supervisor or other management staff
QUALIFICATIONS : Education
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Degree or certification in the healthy / wellness industry preferred
- Previous experience in coaching clients in health / wellness goals preferred
Skills
- CPR, First Aid and AED certification and / or experience a plus
- Ability to maintain positive, active and engaging presence in the facility
- Self-motivating and innovative
