GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST

IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY

Lead supply chain analytics for key metrics and initiatives for Gentherm’s Global Supply Chain, including, but not limited to, inventory, SIOP, supply coverage, customer demand changes, NCNR electronics reporting, global transportation, warehousing, etc.

Review and analyze inventory and SIOP data to assess trends and develop action plans to optimize inventory and plant efficiency in all Gentherm sites.

Partner with the Global Supply Chain Managers and the Plant Supply Chain Managers to drive global inventory initiatives, SIOP, develop and execute standard processes and reporting, review and optimize SAP parameters, and drive continuous improvement to world class supply chain performance.

Optimize the inventory to meet customer demand while minimizing Gentherm’s cost. Partner with the Sr. Manager Logistics & Transportation to prepare and analyze quotations for transportation services (global air and ocean, parcel, & road), support implementation of new contracts, support cost savings reporting and other key metrics for transportation and warehousing, etc.

This position will support the development and implementation of automated reporting (e.g. Power BI) to improve key performance indicators for production plan adherence, supply planning, on-time delivery (inbound & outbound), SAP parameter optimization, and freight and inventory management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Support Strategy

  • Lead data analytics for key Global Supply Chain KPIs (Inventory, SIOP, Customer OTD, Supplier OTD, Backlog, Transportation Savings, Transit Times, etc.)
  • Support the Global Supply Chain Team to develop a harmonized and highly competitive Supply Chain which is built on end-to-end value stream orientation, lean principles and the total cost of ownership.
  • Support the Sales, Inventory and Operational Planning (SIOP) process to drive attainment of delivery, revenue, and inventory targets.
  • Monitor global supply planning and forecasting of demand to ensure resource requirements are met.
  • Monitor supply of critical materials to all locations to ensure supply through accurate, real-time inventory management and continuous tracking (as required).
  • Maintain accurate forecast models for SIOP based upon incoming receipts, production planning, and customer shipments.
  • Develop and apply IT solutions, including Power BI, to support the integration of logistics processes and the transparency of logistics performance in multiple aggregation levels
  • Support supply chain mapping and supply chain resiliency
  • Incorporate total cost of ownership and logistical aspects in the Request for Quote process

OTHER CORE FUNCTIONS

Standardization

  • Support the deployment of standard Supply Chain business processes based upon best practices
  • Incorporate standard processes for Supply Chain based upon lean principles and practices
  • Develop, deploy, train, and publish standard reports / analysis for Global Supply Chain KPIs.

Continuous Improvement

  • Optimize Supply Chain performance through data analytics and execution of action plans.
  • Develop and apply IT solutions, including Power BI, to improve KPI management
  • Support transportation and warehousing cost improvements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics, Business, or related discipline.
  • Master’s Degree is a plus
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant Supply Chain, international logistics, master scheduling and planning for production in the Automotive industry preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 supply chain related internships if a recent graduate
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Strong Microsoft skills (Excel pivot tables, vlookups, charts, graphs, etc. & PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain principles and practices utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Business fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Must be flexible with aiding during non-working hours.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical aptitude and proficiency in personal productivity software, as well as visual information management tools. (e.

g., MS Office, Azure Dev Ops)

  • Experience leading traditional waterfall project methodologies as well as hybrid waterfall / adaptive blended methodologies.
  • Experience using Lean and process improvement techniques.
  • Knowledge of Agile and / or Adaptive project methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, and software development methodologies
  • Organizational skills with the ability to execute project objectives through to completion and motivate others to complete deliverables and meet project
  • Ability to flex, accept other perspectives and work globally
  • Embraces a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Works to understand the root cause of issues and develops sustainable solutions to overcome them
  • Curious, self-motivated and willing to travel as needed
  • Technical application experience with SAP preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black / Green Belt / Lean Professional is a plus
  • APICS Certification and / or CPIM or CPM or equivalent international certifications is a plus
  • Power BI experience is a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of Automotive Supply Chain and life cycle preferred.
  • Experience managing projects and project teams including managing a project schedule, risks, issues, changes, and external dependencies.
  • Successfully influencing change on their project team, providing options, and making recommendations for project decisions.
