The Property Tax Accountant is primarily responsible for the property tax compliance and payments for our store locations
Responsibilities :
- You will also be responsible for research related to filing requirements and reporting requirements for new locations where business personal property tax is required
- Timely and accurate filing of business personal property tax returns
- Additionally, this position will assist with other indirect tax duties as assigned by your manager
- Accurate and timely completion of property tax compliance
- Property and timely payments associated with all filings
- Research property tax compliance requirements when needed for new locations and / or to research potential cost savings opportunities
- Resolve property tax issues, both with internal and external parties
- Organize and maintain proper records for any future audits
Qualifications :
- Education Required : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Required
- Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience : Indirect Tax functions
- Years of Job-Related Experience Required : Minimum 3-5 years of relatable experience
- Strong knowledge of Tax Accounting
- Familiar with Property Tax return compliance
- Strong analytical and communication skills
