Starting Wage : $25-$30 / hr, DOE
Hours : Full-time, 40 hours per week

Qualifications :
- A master's degree in a human services discipline required. Applicants must meet educational requirements and be eligible for licensure within the state of Washington to be considered.
- Associate Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Social Worker with the State of Washington or ability to achieve licensure within 6 months of hire required.
- Two years of relevant professional experience in human services or community-based organizations
- Prior training and experience with evidence-based parenting curricula and treatment models for childhood trauma are preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish and English desired but not required

We are currently seeking a Family Therapist and in-home Counselor to join our Parenting Support Program team, serving Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
Purpose :
The Family Therapist and in-home Counselor provides evidence-based services in clients' homes. Their goal is to assist families with parenting strategies, advocacy skills, household management support, communication skills, community resources, crisis stabilization, and counseling to prevent out-of-home placement of children, support successful reunification for children with their biological families, and decrease safety concerns and conflict.
Applicants must have experience working with parents, caregivers, and children. The Family Therapist In-Home Counselor must be able to work collaboratively and have a high level of self-management.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Manage referrals for appointments and meet contract timelines for client engagement.
- Provide high-quality, in-home services to children, families, and caregivers using evidence-based practices, assessments, coaching, and teaching sessions.
- Screen for emergent family needs and support crisis stabilization as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive family assessment and collaborate with family and professionals to set goals for the service.
- Implement new parentingtechniques, problem-solving strategies, and life management skills that address risks, challenges, and individual parenting styles.
- Empower problem-solving and self-sufficiency and strengthen connections to available community resources.
- Complete required paperwork by due dates including case notes and billing.
- Maintain DOH licensure requirements.
- Complete and maintain training and quality assurance activities per contract requirements.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with contractors, referrers, community partners, and model trainers / consultants.
- Attend agency mandatory meetings, supervision, and required training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
