We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team in Gettysburg, PA. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive health services to students and promote a safe and healthy school environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess and manage student health issues, including injuries and illnesses.
- Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions.
- Provide health education and resources to students, families, and staff.
- Maintain accurate health records and reports in compliance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support student well-being.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
- Conduct health screenings and monitor immunization compliance.
- Promote wellness initiatives and health awareness programs within the school community.
Qualifications :
- Current RN license in Pennsylvania; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric nursing setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents.
- Knowledge of state and federal health regulations affecting schools.
