Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview :

The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing the work of the Maintenance Staff to ensure safe and efficient operations of equipment throughout the entire facility.

Essential Job Functions :

• Must be able to oversee 6 to 8 Maintenance Technicians during a 12-hour shift
• Communicate assignments and major tasks to employees, making sure they have all instructions necessary to complete work assignments completely and correctly
• Periodically check the work in progress of each maintenance employee and provide immediate assistance and instruction as needed

Requirements :

• 2-5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read, follow, and understand mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings, schematics manuals, and manufacturer's specifications
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities
• Strong communication skills
• Working knowledge of safety procedures (PPE, LOTO, Confined Space equipment, etc.)
• Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously when necessary
• Must be detail-orientated.
• Computer skills with capability in email, MS Office, and related communication tools

• Requires kneeling, crouching, and stooping
• Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Requires lifting up to 50 pounds while bending, twisting, and / or standing
