Job Summary :

Responsible for reading blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work : location, quantities, and sizes of materials required.

Identify all tools required for tasks and identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • The Infrastructure Technician Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using such tools as rules and conduit benders, Chicago Benders, Dual trigger bandsaw
  • The Infrastructure Technician will build closets (Mount and install backboards). Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
  • The Infrastructure Technician Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
  • The Infrastructure Technician Ability to fabricate and install rigid & aluminum, ., plasti-bond, and . conduit
  • The Infrastructure Technician Ability to use mechanical benders; use hydraulic benders 1 1 / 2 4 ; fabricate and install conduit supports
  • The Infrastructure Technician Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
  • The Infrastructure Technician will assume responsibility for effective performance of crew and provide necessary training, coordinate personnel and timeline to complete project.
  • The Infrastructure Technician will fully complete all IES paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required)
  • The Infrastructure Technician will adhere to and participate in all Company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
  • The Infrastructure Technician will complete other responsibilities as assigned.

USD $18.00 / Hr.

Qualifications

Physical and Mental Requirements :

  • The Infrastructure Technician must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
  • The Infrastructure Technician must be accustomed to Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Repetitive Motions
  • The Infrastructure Technician must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
  • The Infrastructure Technician must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).
  • The Infrastructure Technician must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
  • The Infrastructure Technician must be able to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
  • The Infrastructure Technician must be able to travel within the branch territory and / or regional territory as needed
  • Regular attendance is mandatory.

Tools :

Screwdriver (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight and gloves.

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements :

  • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Must possess a minimum of zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in as an electrician, or related technical field and demonstrate the ability to supervise others.
  • Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools.
  • Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
  • Must know the universal communications color codes.
  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
