Overview :
Weedmaps is seeking an SEO Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the cannabis industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for utilizing search engine optimization techniques to improve conversions, traffic, and revenue for brands.
This role will work closely with the content marketing and product teams to implement the organic strategy and play a key role in identifying new opportunities to improve organic performance.
The impact you'll make :
- Optimize on-page content and metadata to increase traffic and revenue generated by the organic channel.
- Create SEO content briefs to support the learn, news, and marketplace platforms.
- Support SEO-focused product enhancements by providing research, reviewing releases, and providing feedback as needed.
- Support the SEO strategy
- Monitor technical reporting for regressions and submit bug tickets as needed.
- Collaborate with the acquisition, lifecycle, social, and content marketing teams to leverage organic search data from editorial, strains, and marketplace to improve campaign performance.
- Support business units outside of product and marketing as needed with SEO consulting on projects.
What you've accomplished :
- BA / BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of experience in SEO and digital marketing
- Understanding of on-page SEO, including keyword targeting and metadata optimization.
- Experience using keyword research tools such as SEMrush and Ahrefs.
- Comfortable working in Google Search Console, especially with the performance, indexing, and experience tools.
- Experience using technical SEO crawlers such as Sitebulb, Screaming Frog, Botify, or Lumar (DeepCrawl).
- Knowledge of local SEO and multi-market strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for the cannabis industry and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments
Bonus points :
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- SQL or Python experience
- Experience using Wordpress
- Tableau or Looker Studio experience
The base pay range for this position is $67,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
