Associate Attorney, Litigation

Full Job Description
Our client, a boutique AV rated civil litigation firm located on the banks of the Sacramento River in Redding, California, has an immediate opening for an on-site Associate with experience in all aspects of litigation from case inception through trial and appeal.
Practice focus is primarily in the areas of insurance defense, public entity representation, personal injury, and employment law.
Duties :
- Conduct legal research and analyze case precedents to inform legal decisions
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Assist with case preparation and management, including preparing for trial and negotiating settlements
- Participate in legal proceedings, including litigation, mediation, and arbitration
- Utilize legal research tools, including Lexis-Nexis, to stay up-to-date on the latest legal developments
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal strategies and present cases in court
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of legal proceedings and case information
- Provide exceptional client service and maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Keep up-to-date accurate daily detailed billing sheets
Experience :
- Must have current license to practice law in the State of California
- Strong writing skills and ability to draft legal documents
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Experience with legal research tools, including Lexis-Nexis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
