MAJOR FUNCTION :
Provides engineering support to maintain continuity of production flow by troubleshooting and timely problem solving, design and redesign of manufacturing processes as well as monitor and debug malfunctioning methods.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Investigates and corrects problems associated with the production process. This may involve procedure, materials, controls, or equipment.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommends corrective actions for production problems.
- Responsible for development and implementation of preventive maintenance activities.
- Develops and initiates process improvements upon arrival to upgrade quality, yield and cost savings.
- Assist in training of employees and in updating technical documentation.
- Observes and recommends improvements to enhance safety practices and procedures.
- Acts as project manager for projects involving process improvements.
- Ensures activities are in accordance with local, state and federal laws as well as TOTO policy and procedures.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Upgrade current skills and knowledge of technology improvements.
- Exchange information with vendors and suppliers to improve production.
- Assists in insuring a safe work environment by maintaining and communicating goof safety practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
DIMENSIONS :
Responsible for process improvement throughout the production sections of TOTO USA Industries.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS :
Daily contact with engineers, management and production personnel informing them of process improvements. Frequent contact with vendors, suppliers and service providers.
Attends conferences and symposiums as appropriate to exchange information and maintain technical competence.
SPECIFICATIONS :
Bachelor’s Degree in Materials, Ceramics, Industrial Engineering or other related Engineering area. At least one (1) year of working experience is necessary.
Working knowledge of PC and applicable software including Auto-Cad.
