Must liveanywhere in Los Angeles.
Must travel 50% ofthe time travel will only be on the west coast California OregonWashington. All travel is paid for upfront by the company.
Youmight have 2 flights in a day. You might rent a car to drive to theother side of California. When traveling all hotels food rentalsgas will be paid for on the company credit card.
Travel will beevery other week and between Tuesday and Thursday. Monday andFriday are admin days.
MUST HAVE :
Must haveground up commercial experience all new construction. Coming from aGeneral Contractor is perfect.
Experience buildingrestaurants chains like CHICKFILA (very similar with intricateexterior products) is a great fit for this role.
Experience with other restaurant chains (exceptMcDonalds) and / or car dealerships is also a fit.

JOB DESCRIPTION :
Were currently seeking a Construction Manager to join ourHeadquarters team in Los Angeles CA
The ideal candidatewill possess handson knowledge of groundup commercial constructionpreferably in a national / regional retail environment and willsuccessfully manage multiple projects in various states.
Excellent planning and communication skills are critical forsuccess in this position.
This includes coordinationwith external vendor partners and internal teams to successfullyopen new stores on time within budget and at a level of qualitythat meets or exceeds Misters standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage construction projects with competingtimelines from conception to completion
Determine theresources (e.g. time money equipment) needed to create manage andfulfill project budgets within approved limits
Job cost estimating budget creation forecasting andclose out
Collaboration andmanagement of general contractors and thirdparty vendorpartners
Negotiate terms of agreements andreview bids and contracts
Applyvalue engineering principles to increase facility value
Order equipment and work with internal support teams to meetdelivery deadlines
Report project progress on a weekly(and sometimes daily) basis
Avoid issues through properplanning; resolve issues when they emerge
Track andanalyze project flow and outcomes to prepare future reports andidentify improvements to Misters best practices
Remaincalm under pressure act decisively maintain flexibility andeffectively manage multiple tasks in a fastpacedenvironment
Listen actively and communicateassertively
QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction projectmanagement
Ability to travel roughly 50%
Skilled at reading blueprints / schematics; knowledgeable aboutcurrent building codes
Must be able to performmiscellaneous construction tasks (e.g. pull wire stage and installequipment etc.)
Work and collaborate remotely withlimited direct supervision
Proficient in MicrosoftOffice and construction management software packages
Excellent writing communication project management andinterpersonal skills with a high level of attention todetail
Car wash experience is a plus
