Job Overview : A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Tax Associate to join its Transactional Tax group in the Seattle office.
This role involves advising on a wide range of tax-related matters, including the structuring and formation of business and investment entities, cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and renewable energy projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong legal skills in transactional tax matters and the ability to deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.
The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and a competitive salary based on experience.
Duties :
- Provide tax advice on structuring business and investment entities
- Advise on domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings
- Offer counsel on tax equity financing for renewable energy projects
- Handle tax-related aspects of debt and equity securities offerings
- Collaborate with clients to deliver strategic tax solutions
- Draft legal documents related to tax matters and transactions
- Conduct legal research on complex tax issues
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Washington Bar admission or eligibility to become admitted
- Strong academic credentials with excellent research and writing skills
- Prior experience as a transactional tax attorney preferred
Education :
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications :
Active Washington Bar admission (or ability to become admitted in Washington)
Skills :
- Proficiency in transactional tax law
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
