Responsibilities
Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a -bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
FLBHC features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.

The Therapist (Licensed) performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access, through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients / families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, group therapy, providing information and referrals as needed, and individual therapy when ordered by an MD.
Provides variety of psychotherapeutic services, group, family, individual to adults and adolescents in psychiatric hospital setting, presenting with co-occurring disorders, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse disorders and other behavioral disorders.
Provides social services, including, but not limited to discharge planning.

About Universal Health Services
Qualifications
Master’s Degree from accredited school in Social Work, or Mental Health Counseling. LMHC or LCSW in Florida required. One (1) year of experience working in a Behavioral Health Center or psychiatric counseling setting with adults and / or children.
