AFS is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to provide expertise in network planning, implementation, and operations in support of a vital national security mission.

You will work with a mission focused team to develop designs that meet requirements, perform implementations, and operationalize new and existing functionalities in the environment.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills and thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities include :

  • Implement and deploy a scalable, reliable and secure Cloud network architecture
  • Planning, performing, testing, and documenting network posture to ensure proper / secure connectivity and operations within our cloud environment and external connections
  • Configuration and implementation of network for secure application communication
  • Creating and maintaining necessary supporting configuration artifacts such as network maps, detailed designs, test plans, operations readiness test reports, device configurations, and maintenance processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to define technical requirements, develop network architectures, and identify risks and mitigation strategies
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on the implementation of the network architecture, including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting processes

Here is what you need :

  • Demonstrated knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments
  • 5+ years of experience in network architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, TCP / IP, networking and information system security principles, practices, and technologies
  • 3+ years of experience with software-defined networking (SDN), routers, NGFW, WAF, IPSec VPNs, ACLs
  • 3+ years of experience with WAN or Direct Connect (similar technologies), Load Balancers, Transit Gateway, Forward and Reverse Proxy
  • Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization, multi-tasking, status reporting, and time-management skills

Bonus points if you have :

  • AWS Cloud based certification(s), specifically the AWS Advanced Networking Specialty Certification
  • Ability to identify potential areas of improvement and make recommendations for improvement
  • Customer service skills
  • COMSEC devices

Security Clearance :

TS / SCI clearance is required

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia .

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
