Title : Mechanical Designer & Drafter
Salary / Compensation Range : $120,000 - $140,000
Location : Houston, Texas Metro Area
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Design or drafting of manufacturing and industrial plant layouts, plans, instrument / machinery selection, installation, construction drawings, along with cost estimates.
- Utilize Autodesk Navisworks to create 3D models and technical drawings.
- Conduct design modifications and optimizations to enhance functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop basic to complex engineering P&ID drawings using proper along with high quality drafting standards.
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and quality control guidelines.
- Generate a comprehensive bill of materials (BOM) and contribute to the creation of assembly instructions and documentation.
- Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of designs for potential errors, interferences, or conflicts, proposing suitable solutions as necessary.
- Maintain well-organized files and documentation for easy retrieval and reference purposes.
- Stay up to date with the latest CAD techniques, software updates, and industry trends to continually enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, related field, or commensurate experience required.
- 8+ years of mechanical design and drafting experience required. 10+ years preferred.
- Heavy equipment or machinery manufacturing experience ideally in the oil & gas / energy industry. gas distribution or processing systems, field or plant technology, power generation, compressors, fracking or drilling equipment, turbines, generators, thermal machinery, etc.)
- Proven Experience with Autodesk Navisworks, Inventor, AutoCAD, Solidworks, or other CAD software design tools will be considered a plus.
- Proficiency in creating 3D models, technical drawings, and assemblies. Ideally in

- Willingness to commute onsite daily in US headquarter facility located in NW Houston, Texas.
