Summary
The Manager of Commercial and Contract Management is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Commercial Management of the sales contracts of Voith US Inc.
VPA Projects’ and Products & Services’ business lines, from the pre-project phase to its completion.
This position plays a crucial role in the healthy development of our business, by ensuring an optimal cash flow performance and limited risks.
It reports to the Director of Finance of Voith Paper P&S and Projects North America.
Your tasks :
- Provide leadership, direction, and management of the Commercial Team on commercial processes in the pre-project phase (OtO) and in the execution phase (OtC)
- Provide strategic recommendations to business unit leaders on commercial matters
- Provide strategic support in pricing related topics of the recurring business.
- Development of financing concepts in cooperation with VOFS
- Guide commercial contract negotiations with customers
- Ensure compliance with local, group division and group guidelines regarding risk assessment and performance risks during the entire project life
- Lead contract reviews during the execution phase regarding the contractual risks and chances of the projects
- Support the execution of the order in the external relationship with customers and external partners (guarantee processing, managing incoming payments, change orders)
- Lead claim management and performance management topics, together with the project management group and commercial specialists
- Execution and maintenance of sales agency and consulting agreements, including agent commission calculations
- Ensure positive Cash Flow in project execution.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal or related field
- 5+ years of experience in contract management, commercial, sales, corporate finance, or related field
- Ability to deal with complex business scenarios and different contract structures
- Excellent analytical and cross-functional skills
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the financial and commercial management of projects
- Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office
