Software Engineer III - Backend - Omni Team

About Team :

As a member of the Omni (EDF) Team, you'll be part of the replenishment team responsible for building and supporting high impact, mission critical systems for the world's largest retailer.

You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing code changes required for special business requirements. You'll work with many cross-functional teams to handle monitoring issues and troubleshoot business and production issues.

What you'll do :

As a Software Engineer III , you'll spend your days translating requirements into solutions, writing code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing insights necessary to think beyond the status quo.

You'll oversee small project teams consisting of other engineers who will look to you as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.

What you'll bring :

• Development experience in an OO language ( Java, Python, C++, C# , etc.)
• Experience with cloud application development including scalable, data-driven, and message-oriented architecture.
• Strong working knowledge of designing scalable microservices .
• Experience designing loosely coupled services using asynchronous message processing including Kafka.
• Experience working on cloud-scale massive relational and No-SQL databases.
• Working knowledge of design patterns.
• Experience with code repositories and version control practices.
• Experience developing CI / CD pipelines and best practices, and automated deployment experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software quality and operational excellence practices.
• Experience working in agile development methodology.

Minimum Qualifications :

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position :

Option 1 : Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.

Option 2 : 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications :

Customer Service, knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, and integrating digital accessibility.
