We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior-level Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining and optimizing our organization's computer systems, networks, and servers.
This role will provide essential support to ensure the efficient and secure operation of our IT infrastructure
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Assist in managing and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, cameras, phones, printers, copiers & scanners.
- Perform moves, adds & changes of user’s workstations, telephones and printers
- Provide technical support to end-users by troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
- Assist in setting up and configuring user accounts, email, and access permissions.
- Collaborate with the IT helpdesk to resolve user issues in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot print / copy / scan devices and replace toners, drums as needed
- Monitor routine backups and ensure data integrity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing security policies and protocols.
- Monitor system for security breaches and unauthorized access.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong understanding of computer systems, networking, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server and PC operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Associate) is a plus.
