Phlebotomist / Laboratory Technician

We are actively hiring a Phlebotomist / Lab Technician at our Gurnee, IL site! Must have phlebotomy skills and experience, including venipucture The Phlebotomist / Lab Technician supports clinical research coordinators by obtaining, processing, and shipping lab samples daily, or as defined per sponsors’ protocols, as well as Flourish Research’s policies and procedures and OSHA requirements.

To provide administrative support to the regulatory department, to CRCs and to management as needed to facilitate the smooth operation of business at a Flourish Research site.

Shift : Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 4 : 30 PM Compensation : $25-$30 / hr based on experience + comprehensive benefits, PTO, and 401k match *paid overtime for weekend work, evening work, or early morning work as needed RESPONSIBILITIES Perform phlebotomy, specifically venipuncture and setting IV lines Follow instruction manuals and protocols for laboratory specimens within specified timelines.

Obtain, process, and ship lab specimens using good techniques per OSHA and IATA regulations. This includes managing the centrifuge, aliquoting, and proper temperature control monitoring of specimens.

Maintain IATA certification for the laboratory and clinic. Ensure confidentiality of patient and protocol issues, complying with HIPAA regulations.

Report adverse events or lab incidents to management promptly. Ensure availability of necessary laboratory supplies. Communicate professionally with patients, sponsors, physicians, and staff.

Attend training to stay updated on federal regulations and Flourish Research policies. Pursue educational opportunities to enhance knowledge of research and regulations.

Perform all duties safely and prudently. Represent Flourish Research professionally in all interactions. Perform additional duties as assigned.
