The Wound, Ostomy, Limb Preservation, & Amputation Services (WOLPAS) Program is dedicated to providing leadership, coordination, and education for implementing the Integrated Wound Program.

The program partners with key stakeholders to prevent and treat complex wounds and ostomies while aligning with quality, safety, and fiscal goals.

This position involves managing multifaceted programs and initiatives aimed at improving wound and ostomy care practices within the hospital.

It requires the ability to navigate complex healthcare systems, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and address challenges related to resource allocation, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement.

The Program Manager plays a critical role in enhancing patient outcomes, reducing healthcare costs, and promoting patient safety within the hospital.

By implementing evidence-based practices and leading quality improvement initiatives, the Program Manager contributes to the hospital's leadership role in wound and ostomy care.

Additionally, the Program Manager's supervision of WOLPAS clinicians ensures the delivery of high-quality care to patients with complex wound and ostomy needs, further solidifying the hospital's commitment to excellence.

REQUIREMENTS

Active RN Licensure; BSN (Bachelor's in Nursing) degree and 4-5 years professional nursing work experience including experience in wound care, and nursing management.

Desired :

National Certifications in Wound & Ostomy Care, with CWON highly desired.

Knowledge and experience with hospital beds and surfaces; product evaluation and standardization initiatives; amputation services and limb preservation;

ostomies care; and development of successful programs and work processes.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams; highly self-directed with the ability to coordinate information gathering and dissemination within a complex organizational system;

proficiency in data analysis; advanced written and verbal communication skills; flexibility in meeting workload demands.
