Significant involvement with phased array antennas, antenna components, waveguide arrays, waveguide structures, reflector antennas and feeds.
Performs design, analysis, modeling, and testing of various types of antenna systems and components. Impels designs forward from the conceptual drawing board into the implementation of building and testing the finished product.
Works with cross functional teams in a dynamic environment to achieve the product design goals as well as meeting cost and schedule targets.
What you'll need 10+ Years of Antenna design experience with satellite communications antenna systems In depth knowledge of wideband electronically steered phased array antenna architecture, design methods and operational principles, beam steering calibration, and test verification methods Proficient with analytical & programming tools (e.
g., HFSS, TICRA, Matlab) Interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written) and effective in a team environment working across divisional boundaries Ability to work independently and with coordinated group design activities Experience with Antenna Design for manufacturing Experience generating specifications for RF components and antenna feed networks BS Electrical Engineering (MS Electrical Engineering preferred) U.
S. Citizenship required Up to 10% travel What will help you on the job Experience developing ground based antenna systems for satellite access nodes (LEO, MEO, and GEO) Experience developing space based on board satellite antenna systems Hands-on design experience through laboratory testing and system measurement Experience supporting business development with design schedules, and cost estimates Experience designing X, Ku, Ka and Q / V-band optics, reflectors, phased arrays, and Feeds Experience with Radome analysis Salary range $136,700.
00 - $237,700.00 / annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
