Job Description :
In this role, the individual will have a dynamic and high-paced tempo in the shaping, pursuit, and capture
of business for our company. The focus of this position will be new business (green ?eld) business development within the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community (Intel).
The Sr. BD Lead will work across the organization and support the various business lines in the identification and capture of new business and working closely with the BD team to grow existing accounts.
The individual will also lead business capture activities in compliance with the BD processes to ensure the submission of quality proposals in a timely manner.
The Sr. BD Lead will have experience developing and closing new business within one or more of the following key communities :
- DoD and / or Intel Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Organizations
- DoD and / or Intel Cyber Organizations
- DoD Special Forces Organizations
The Sr. BD Lead will have experience developing, shaping and closing new business within one or more of the following key geographic locations :
- National Capital Region
- San Antonio
- Augusta, GA
- Tampa, FL
- Dayton, OH
The Sr. BD Lead will report to the Vice President of Business Development
Anticipated Breakdown of Duties : 75% New Business Development / 25% Strategic Capture Management.
Job Duties
Lead e?orts to develop new business within new key customers as identified by our leadership through the strategic planning process.
Create an approach plan, develop relationships, and identify new opportunities to build engagement with these new strategic customers.
Responsible for all portions of the business development process from new opportunity identified through successful capture.
Support both new business development and account growth activities.
Function as Capture Manager, and support / and / or manage proposal development as required for opportunities, as identi?
ed and quali?ed through the BD process. Work closely with and support the Proposal Team as required.
Identify and qualify shows, conferences, and events for positioning our capabilities, services, and technologies in concert our leadership.
Provide planning and support for participation in relevant shows and related activities. Represent us at these events.
Provide routine reporting of opportunity status to the BD team for inclusion in BD tracking databases. Update management regarding opportunity schedules, key milestone status and business intelligence.
Closely coordinate between Capture, Program, and Proposal managers to collectively own the
development and delivery of the proposal as part of the overall BD process
Education
A bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business ?eld, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master of Business Administration preferred.

5 years experience in one or more of the following key markets

5 years Experience in the preparation of proposals in a government contractor environment Current TS / SCI clearance required (NSA Full Scope or CI polygraph preferred)
