JOB SUMMARY :
The Director, Strategic Alliances is responsible for supporting the Strategic Alliance Executives to create significant new business opportunities in WCG's largest and most established accounts.
Using sophisticated relationship management skills and competencies, the Director works with the team to support strategic client objectives and align those objectives with WCG services and products to create further growth in targeted accounts.
As directed, the Director works horizontally across WCG's two business units, coordinating account strategies with business unit business development representatives, marketing, and operations.
The Director is empowered by a series of tools to help effectively advise clients, which includes access to vast datasets, a marketing function, and deep existing relationships with over 4,000 accounts.

Expected annual base salary range : $101,700 to $158,000 plus commission (range is expected, specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and / or experience )
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's degree
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE :
8+ years of sales experience with at least 5 years of progressive, successful relationship management experience in the life sciences industry with a focus on research and development and clinical trials
Demonstrated ability to drive growth and close new business in existing and new accounts in a strategic selling role
Proven track record in building, maintaining and growing strategic business relationships with biopharma and / or CROs
Proven strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to identify client challenges and support innovative solutions to address them
Highly effective collaborator within multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix, cross-functional setting
Demonstrated ability to align business development plans and activities to corporate objectives
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong work ethic, authentic enthusiasm, positive attitude and true passion on display
Demonstrated competence, credibility and character

Use WCG data and analytics, market intelligence, and account information to support effective client deliverables as directed by the Strategic Alliance Executives.
Build, maintain and evolve business relationships with biopharma clientele and WCG cross-functional stakeholders.
Support internal client communications comprised of key personnel across all WCG subsidiaries to support account plans and strategies aligned with corporate goals and centered on driving near- and long-term WCG growth in Strategic Alliance accounts.
Develop knowledge of WCG solutions and Strategic Alliance accounts to support significant account growth.
Prepare client presentations and communications per company standards.
Work within a vigorous metrics-driven environment.
May be assigned accounts to manage under supervision of the Strategic Alliance Executives
Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
