$18 per hour Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday
7 : 00 AM 4 : 00 PM Shipping Specialist Duties and Responsibilities
- Document Shipping / Receiving of radioactive and non-radioactive material as per work instructions
- Ship / Receive radioactive and non-radioactive material as per work instructions
- Understand inventory control and properly document incoming and outgoing stock
- Prepare professional air rate quotes and proposals
- Process domestic and international shipments
- Coordinate with our contracted vendors in procuring space and services
- Receive and update shipment status in a timely manner, issue shipment alert, and file US Customs documents
- Prepare master bills of lading, commercial docs, and letters of credit and licenses
- Process documents timely and accurately
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations and internal procedures and adhere to policies
Shipping Specialist Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer user skills to access and retrieve information necessary for job function. Ability to perform necessary shop math.
- Ability to secure and maintain NRC clearance and meet requirements of drug free workplace policy.
- Ability to obtain certifications such as forklift training, hazardous training, shipping specialist training, driver training
- Requires ability to operate in existing or future working conditions that include but is not limited to : The ability to pick up heavy objects, exposed to : noise, heat, smoke, dust, chemicals, radiation, stand for long periods, climb stairs, ladders.
Requires the vision ability to read drawings, documents, tool placards, machine controls with prescribed eye wear if necessary.
Ability to function in a team setting cooperating with others without disruptive or counterproductive conflict with others.
Treat others with respect.
Detail oriented with ability to focus in disciplined manner on task with accuracy and repeatability.
