OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
The Repair Planner plays an extremely important role in customer satisfaction and the overall continued success of Miller Auto Body.
The Repair Planner provides customer service and maintains communication in regards to the analysis of damage and the determination of the cost of repair.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Greet customers promptly, courteously, and professionally.
Answer phone calls promptly, courteously, and professionally.
Maintain on-going communication with customers as needed.
Manage and update the status of vehicles within the repair order process.
Partner with management, department staff and other departments as necessary. Communicate all information to necessary partners.
Maintain communication with customers as needed and directed, including, but not limited to, taking appointments, scheduling, etc.
Create repair estimates for Collision Damaged vehicles that arrive for repairs.
Build Repair Plans in accordance with OEM specific repair procedures.
Document all damages requiring repair or parts replacement with photos.
Direct disassembly technicians as to the pace and scope of disassembly to expose all damages up front.
Communicate with insurance company to submit claim and billing.
Direct Body Techs to perform repair attempts where Repair Vs Replace is not clear.
Manage Time in order to meet daily requirement of fully Blueprinted vehicles
Close billing and delivery of vehicle
Develop and maintain relationships with various internal and external customers, including, but not limited to insurance companies, clients and vendors.
Appraise vehicle damage to determine cost of repair for insurance claim settlement.
Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
Manage parts for all repair orders, including, but not limited to, ordering, checking in and returning to venders.
Ensure all paperwork is completed and presented through the proper channels, including, but not limited to, insurance information, billing, etc.
Determine feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
Evaluate practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
Estimate cost of repainting, converting to special purposes, or customizing undamaged vehicles.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work areas, including, but not limited to work space, lobby, lot, etc.
Maintain and execute compliance guidelines, policies and procedures at all times. Including, but not limited to state and federal laws, health and safety policies, OSHA, Red Flags, Privacy and OFAC.
Any other duties deemed necessary by management.
Requirements : QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be presentable and professional appearing at all times
Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record
5+ years of automotive collision damage estimating experience
Knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
I-CAR certification preferred
Good organizational skills and time management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent listening skills
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Proficient with Computers, as well as CCC Estimating Software
Product knowledge

Camera, computer, fax, copier, scanner, hoist, various hand tools, various power tools, vacuum, car wash, power washer and various chemicals.

Noise, extreme temperatures and wet / humid.
