What You'll Do :
As a key player in our creative department, you'll be responsible for executing design concepts, layouts, and photo art direction for apparel catalogs and support material as directed by the Divisional Creative Director.
This includes presenting work, analyzing performance data, and collaborating with talented professionals, including Brand Marketing Strategies, Product Merchandisers, and Catalog Production Managers, to bring our brand's vision to life.
You'll be expected to adhere to brand style guides and specific style tactics established by Divisional Creative Director.
You'll also be expected to :
- Design, develop, and execute creative (layout design and on-set photo art direction) for catalog selling pages and support materials.
- Study, learn, and embrace the unique aspects of the brand to ensure all creative efforts align.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate photography according to brand style guide, seasonal creative direction / mood board while meeting budgets and timelines.
- Research and provide recommendations for methods of visual communication to improve sales and profitability.
Qualifications
5+ years' experience in graphic arts, design, or advertising is required. You must have an experienced "eye" for catalog design and be knowledgeable of catalog trends and marketing cycles.
Vendor services experience such as photography studios, modeling agencies, or other creative services is also required. In addition, we're also looking for :
- Associate degree in Commercial Art, Photography, Advertising, or related field
- Extensive experience with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Prior experience with on and off figure photo art direction
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high degree of accuracy and detail-orientation
- Strong photographic techniques and style
- Effective illustration and layout skills
- Previous supervisory experience
- Negotiation experience with external vendors
