Job Description
The Member Support Professional role is crucial in developing independence, building confidence, and supporting our Members towards living a full and meaningful life.
The position will support adults 18+ with a variety of disabilities. This position is located at 75 Federal Street, Boston, MA.
In this role, you will :
- Implement Members’ individual service plans based on needs and goals, and record daily progress, for Community-Based Day Support and Employment Support services
- Promote community involvement and safety
- Facilitate activities related to members' pathways to employment
- Teach Members how to manage activities of daily living such as cleaning, cooking, shopping, budgeting, personal hygiene, health care practices, money management, traveling, self-control and leisure time
- Identify areas of crisis and defuse the situation, ensuring the safety of all concerned
- Administer medication according to MAP regulations, as applicable
- Assist members physically as needed
- Transport Members to community activities or employment opportunities as necessary
