Position Summary - The School Cafeteria Associate will prepare and serve meals to students, as well as operate and clean equipment properly.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and understand measuring devices
- Ability to read and understand recipes and production records
- USDA Required Professional Standards, minimum of 6 hours of continuing education / training yearly and work toward obtaining SNA Certification Level 1, preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with all school personnel
- Valid Idaho driver's license
- Required criminal history background check, physical, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Major responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to :
- Assist in preparation of food as assigned
- Complete serving and cleaning duties as assigned
- Follow proper food handling to maintain food quality and ensure food safety
- Serve meals to adults and students through the line during service hours
- Use proper operation of equipment to assure safety and avoid damage to equipment
- Clean and sanitize all equipment properly
- Attend all required trainings and attain yearly professional standards training requirements
- Support the philosophy and mission of the District and the Child Nutrition Department
- Other duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager and Director of Nutrition Services
