Job Description
Responsibilities :
Demonstrate a professional demeanor, thought leadership, flexibility, and the ability to handle the ambiguity that can present itself in your daily responsibilities
Manage a team of Project Managers of varying levels across a portfolio of clients
Understand how to manage the design and development of large pharmaceutical and wellness integrated advertising campaigns
Functions as the "go to expert with a focus on flexibility when evolving process and lead the team toward solutions
Foster senior to executive-level relationships, creating an atmosphere where issues regarding staffing, team performance, budget and client satisfaction are actively discussed
A natural leader, with a focused interest in operations and finding efficiencies in ways that work for the agency as well as clients
Scoping and Budget Tracking :
Partner with the Account and Strategy team when scoping annual deliverables by developing project descriptions, project assumptions and staffing related to the scope of work
Responsible for revising significant scope of work changes that will impact the overall client budget, staffing, and resources for the agency
Mentor your team by providing clear direction for project estimates and SOW revisions
Educate your team on the fundamental economics and overall health of client business
Partner with Finance and Account Management in leading client finance meetings and address project budget questions in real time
Understand the relationship between scopes, burn, actuals, agency staffing, and how it relates to the brand and agency profitability
Extensive experience negotiating with client and internal teams on project deliverables, scopes of work and staff resourcing
Staff Development :
Engage in the development of mid to senior team members through mentoring and training
Create actionable development plans accompanied by effective, ongoing dialogue with your team (including difficult, timely feedback)
Mentor mid to senior level team members in problem solving and course correcting projects this should include departments outside of project management
Participate in recruiting and hiring practices
Participate in department initiatives and programs
