As a Director, Technology Operations Connected Experiences, you will play a pivotal role at the heart of the Item Experience.

A Director of Connected Experiences on the Item Experience team will be responsible for connecting marketing, events and strategic merchandising experiences on our item and list pages.

This role will work with many internal partners like merchant, product, engineering, and UX design to build engaging shopping experiences on our item page and item list pages.

This role will study performance analytics, market trends, competitor experiences, and customer insights to explore ways we can improve or add to the customer experience.

What you’ll do :

Lead the strategy and project execution for Walmart connected experiences (anchored in the Item page) by identifying customer and operational needs and developing and communicating plans and priorities.

Deliver key cross-functional projects that span across multiple teams within the organization. Collaborating daily with cross-functional team members including Merchandising, Site Operations, Catalog, Marketing, SEO, Design, Product, and more.

  • Monitor experience performance through analysis of key metrics. Monitor operational performance metrics and web analytics to analyze and report out on item page content quality, insights, and opportunities - weekly, monthly and quarterly.
  • Ensuring business & cross-functional partner needs are met by evaluating ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives;

consulting with 4iTB (four in the box) partners, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving overall item page and content experience.

  • Promoting and supporting company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by way of training and providing direction to others in their use and application and ensuring compliance and utilizing and supporting the Open-Door Policy.
  • Operating with excellence You’ll lead key operational processes on the team from weekly and monthly business reviews to management of the issues and ideas intake process.

You’ll land the fundamentals and create and help scale best-in-class efficient workflows and processes.

Approximately 0-15% opportunity to travel per month.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field and 8 years related experience OR 10+ years’ experience in site merchandising, content, eCommerce experience, tech operations, business consulting, corporate strategy, or related area.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategy, merchandising, marketing, consulting, or account management experience a plus.
  • Prior eCommerce or retail experience a plus.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Prior research and project management experience a plus.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and relationships and working directly with executive leadership.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
