Eberle Eyecare is looking for a Part-Time Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Anchorage, Alaska . As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the billing process, ensuring accuracy, and handling insurance claims.

WHAT WE OFFER :
- Starting wage of $21.00-$24.00 based upon education and experience. A review will be completed after 30 days for a possible increase based upon performance.
- 20-25 hours per week flexible schedule to accommodate work-life balance. Preferable hours would be mornings and early afternoon, prior to 2 : 00pm.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims for vision care services.
- Bill any outstanding balances to patients.
- Monitor and follow up on unpaid claims, ensuring timely resolution.
- Review and verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Post payments, adjustments, and write-offs accurately to patient accounts.
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing inquiries.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :
- Experience as a Medical Biller, preferably in a vision or healthcare setting preferred .
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures.
- Familiarity with insurance claim processes and denial management.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
