Summary

Dream Preparatory Academy is seeking a flexible and enthusiastic Floater Teacher Aide to support our classrooms and ensure the smooth operation of daily activities.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, a cooperative attitude, and the ability to adapt to various classroom environments.

Duties

• Classroom Support : Assist lead teachers in various classrooms, providing support wherever needed, including during lessons, activities, and transitions.
• Supervision : Monitor students during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
• Preparation : Help prepare and maintain the learning environment, including setting up materials and cleaning up after activities.
• Individual Assistance : Provide one-on-one support to students who need extra help, ensuring they stay on track with their learning goals.
• Observation : Observe students and report any concerns or developmental milestones to the lead teacher.
• Encouragement : Foster a positive and nurturing environment, encouraging student independence and self-confidence in accordance with Montessori principles.
• Substitution : Step in as a substitute teacher when necessary, leading classroom activities and managing student behavior.
• Collaboration : Work closely with lead teachers and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational environment.

Requirements

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
• Experience : Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting. Knowledge of Montessori methods is a plus.
• Skills :

• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to various classroom settings.
• Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
