Director, DRAM Pathfinding

Responsibilities :

  • Represent a leading voice in steering a strategic direction of device and process technology to meet DRAM scaling targets and develop a DRAM roadmap.
  • Lead, run, and develop a team of process integration engineers of a DRAM pathfining team by applying talent development and people leadership skills to build a motivated high-performance team.
  • Set priorities for the technology program and work in alignment with the node development teams to identify solutions for DRAM technology scaling
  • Work closely with team to establish technology roadmaps for DRAM modules, including future DRAM scaling and fundamental material studies
  • Collaborate with Process Development, Device, and Design and Product Engineering teams to define array parameter assumptions, module result, and array efficiency enablement roadmaps
  • Scope out industry technology trends, university engagement opportunities to define and drive key projects for fundamental studies
  • Work with partner organizations, engineering teams, and Technology Development fabs to coordinate process technology pathfinding activities related to established roadmaps
  • Work closely with team to establish technology roadmaps for DRAM modules, including future DRAM scaling and fundamental material studies

Requirements :

  • At least 5 years of technical leadership in process integration with strong interpersonal and technical skills
  • 10 years of R&D or Technology Development experience, including multi-functional team leadership
  • Must have strong program management skills
  • Understanding of DRAM process integration and electrical impact
  • Fundamental knowledge of DRAM design rule requirements and related integration issues
  • Fundamental understanding of semiconductor devices and processes with a clear understanding of device scaling issues, device degradation and reliability mechanisms
  • Well-founded understanding of the test structure designs and relationships to the semiconductor front-end and / or backend processes
  • Proficient in data analysis, electrical, failure analysis, characterization methodology, with ability to draw connections and conclusions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership in technical direction setting
  • Strong execution skills to drive team to deliver results
  • Set priorities for the technology program and work in alignment with the node development teams to identify solutions for DRAM technology scaling
