Job Description :

Join our dynamic team at SkyWater Technology as a Plasma Etch Process Development Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in bringing cutting-edge eight-inch Silicon designs to life.

In this role, you will work on a wide array of novel technologies, including superconducting ICs, quantum computing devices, MEMs, carbon nanotubes, Bio sensors, DNA sequencing devices, Si photonics, customized CMOS, and III-V devices.

Collaborate to bring new technologies from proof of concept through product qualification and transfer into volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities :

  • New plasma etch process development in a manufacturing environment.
  • Develop, optimize, and qualify robust, manufacturable processes and integrated solutions for Advanced Technology Services customers.
  • Design and execute structured experiments and DOEs, including collection and in-depth analysis of inline metrology, physical analysis, and electrical results.
  • Collaborate on the development of specialized / novel device integration schemes to support customer needs.
  • Manage process development planning and progress with attention to failure modes, risk mitigation, and project schedule.
  • This position could develop into a technical project lead role integrating customer device requests.
  • The job also requires performing other duties as assigned. Percentages of time spent on job duties are estimates and may vary for each position.

Required Qualifications :

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Eng, Materials Science, Chemical Eng, Physics, or related discipline.
  • Semiconductor tooling, process, and metrology knowledge / experience.
  • Understanding of fundamental plasma etch physics and chemistry.
  • 3-5 years of relatable experience.
  • Knowledge of DOE, SPC, and 6-sigma concepts and applications.
  • Clear problem-solving capability, data driven, inventive solution oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions both independently and as a part of a cross-functional team.
  • Able to clearly articulate technical concepts, results, and recommendations.
  • US Citizenship Required : This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications :

Advanced degree in a related field.
