Position Information

The Department of Anesthesiology at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School, is seeking a Liver Transplant anesthesiologist for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level.

Duties include :

  • Provision of anesthesia care to patients undergoing general and liver transplant surgeries in an anesthesia team model;
  • Supervision and education of residents, CRNAs, and medical students;
  • Work collaboratively with the members of the surgical services both clinically and administratively;
  • Participation in research that forwards the discipline both academically and clinically.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Have a medical doctorate or equivalent;
  • Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the state of New Jersey;
  • Be a BC / BE Anesthesiologist. Subspecialty training in Cardiothoracic anesthesia preferred, but not essential.
  • Candidates on J-1 VISA are welcomed to apply.

The effective date of the appointment is July 1st, 2024 or earlier.
