Senior Python Developer - Colombia

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with a passion for open-source projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing complex Python applications, contributing to open-source projects, and leading technical teams.

Compensation :

$36,000 to $48,000 year

Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications for various projects.
• Lead and contribute to open-source projects, ensuring code quality and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver solutions.
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices and code reviews.
• Implement and oversee CI / CD pipelines for efficient and reliable code deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issues in Python applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, and apply them to improve development processes.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Python development, with a strong portfolio of open-source contributions.
• Expertise in Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative coding workflows.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward collaboration and innovation.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with data science, machine learning, or big data technologies.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular).
• Knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
