Job Summary :

This position provides support for the Director of Education, Associate Director and Latino Community Support Specialist

• Meet regularly with entire intern’s team to create promotional plans, timelines, flyers, and materials for all MLKC events through weekly meetings.
• Create MLK Center promotional flyers with Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, etc..- Recruits students, organizations, and departments to participate in all MLKC programming through bi-weekly tabling and bi-weekly flyers throughout the school year.
• Serve as a MLKC Staff member, participating in regular staff meetings, retreats, & trainings, and working at least 5 MLKC events a semester.
• Meet one-on-one with the Associate Director bi-weekly (minimum) in order to effectively balance academics, personal and MLKC obligations. Other duties as assigned.

The Graphic Designer intern is expected to demonstrate high levels of confidentiality and a desire to learn new skills. The students in this position must be a self-starter and have an understanding of working in a professional environment, and have excellent customer service skills.

This position requires a positive attitude and a willingness to assume a variety of roles. The Graphic Designer intern is expected to report to work on time, dressed appropriately and show respect for colleagues in the workplace.
