Summary
Provides support for the day-to-day distributive services through the effective management of pharmacy technicians in coordination with director, pharmacist supervisor and pharmacists.
Oversees the provision of safe, effective, and efficient technical aspects of pharmacy services including but not limited to : medication acquisition, storage, security, preparation, and distribution.
Responsible for assuring pharmacy technician staff productivity and fostering an environment where pharmacy services are provided in an accurate, appropriate, and timely manner.
Participates in recruitment, selection, hiring and evaluation of pharmacy technicians. Ascertains that assigned pharmacy technicians demonstrate a level of competence, professionalism, and customer service as defined and required by job performance standards and professional practice.
All job duties shall be performed in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws, applicable regulatory bodies, and policies and procedures of the health system and pharmacy department.
