POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Moss’ Vice President of Hourly Talent Management will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing scalable, innovative industry best practices to attract, recruit, onboard, develop, motivate, and retain a high-performing hourly workforce for the Solar division.
This will include providing leadership, strategy, guidance, and management of teams responsible for Talent Acquisition of hourly / non-exempt Solar construction Laborers, Operators, and other related roles, as well as talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.
The position is based at our headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, requires frequent travel to project sites, and offers a highly competitive compensation package and robust benefits.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate, develop, implement, and deliver comprehensive and effective recruitment strategies for hourly, high-volume positions at Solar project sites across the southern U.S.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand hiring needs, overall resource and workforce planning, and local market considerations
- Oversee and manage a team to deliver best-in-class experience from initiation of job posting to offer acceptance, and effective, simplified new hire onboarding for candidates
- Establish strong partnerships and effective communication channels with executive leadership, hiring managers and stakeholders
- Cultivate and foster relationships with external recruitment marketing channels, educational institutions, veteran / military bases and organizations, and local community resources for talent pipeline development
- Develop and track key recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and identify data-driven areas for improvement
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify and address talent gaps, retention trends, and succession planning needs
- Facilitate and oversee the implementation of learning opportunities and performance management programs to drive employee development and growth
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes team member engagement and satisfaction. Maintain a pulse on staff and create programs to enhance morale, and to support motivation, engagement, wellness, and retention
- Develops innovative ways to evaluate, correct, and enhance job performance and other workplace behaviors, assuring overall fairness and consistency while meeting business requirements and objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Experienced, executive-level people leader (Vice President or similar level in a Corporate environment) who has been responsible and accountable for a broad range of Talent-related functions in high-volume environments with heavy density of hourly / non-exempt workforce
- Knowledge and experience in construction or Solar / renewable energy sector is highly preferred
- Passionate about building world-class employee experience and engagement, with ability to build trusted partnerships with Superintendents, Solar leadership, and other HR colleagues
- Empathic, dynamic, and motivating leader of teams
- Forward-thinking and creative individual with high personal integrity, with a clear sense of ethics, fairness, and responsibility aligned to company culture and objectives
- Successful sourcing and recruitment of high-volume positions (1000+ annually), ideally in general labor or construction including local community outreach, veteran / military engagement, and creative, current recruitment marketing techniques
- Proactive, approachable, people-oriented person with strong interpersonal skills
- Hands-on leader who is experienced and comfortable spending time in the field to engage with and earn the respect of the business, as well as understand their specialized needs
- Previous experience with Workday is preferred
- Position is located in Fort Lauderdale, FL and requires frequent travel (50%+)
- Bilingual Spanish / English is desired
