Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner, is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients in collaboration with a licensed physician.
In this role, you will join an experienced ED / UC team seeing approximately 50-70 patients per day. Northwoods Summer travel season you will see approximately 80-120 per day.
This role will have 12 hour shifts.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required : Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program or Nurse Practitoner.
Preferred / Optional : None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required : Six months in specialty.
Preferred / Optional : One year in specialty.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required : Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants. Must be eligible to obtain or already hold a current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department / location).
Preferred / Optional : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
