Summary

The Shyne School www.shyneschool.com is looking for an Aide to work with our youngest 1 to 2 year old Toddlers in the afternoon from 3 to 5 : 30 PM Monday to Friday.

Duties

As the Toddlers get up from nap we help them get shoes on, serve snack and do diaper changes. We close the classroom for the night and take them outside.

We combine with the 2 to 3 year old class, do a last diaper check, read stories, have snack, play and greet parents.

Staff from different classrooms come together and close the school, and get it ready for the janitors to clean. We take recycle out every other week, clean up after students such as basic house management tasks such as laundry, sweeping and dishes.

Requirements

Requirements Must have or willingness to obtain :

Childcare 30 hr. Basics (Free or reimbursed)

Background Check (Free)

TB Test (Current, with in the last year)

First Aide, CPR, AED($60 reimbursed)

Bloodborne Pathogen Training(Free on the Labor and Industries website)

Food Handlers

Requirements and Qualifications :

• Must be at least 18+ years of age.
• Knowledge of and experience with groups of children.
• Knowledge and understanding of positively redirecting children
• Active e-mail account.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• STARS ID number
• Registered with MERIT https : / / www.dcyf.wa.gov / services / earlylearning -profdev / merit
• Complete Department of Early Learning Portable Background Card.
• Must take Childcare Basics 30 clock hour class within 3 months.

Physical Requirements

The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands : significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and / or pulling;

frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and / or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. The job requires 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing.

Must be obtained before employment :

TB test and Current vaccines Proof of MMR and Covid vaccines, required.
