Advanced Equipment Systems Division (AES) is a focused group within the larger Air Liquide Electronics (ALE) organization that specializes in providing chemical and specialty gas management equipment solutions.

Team members are chemical and mechanical engineers, electrical and controls engineers, programmers, manufacturing technicians and field service engineers.

The core expertise of this team includes everything related to the delivery of process molecules : equipment design, material compatibility, safety requirements, component selection, controls design and integration, flow and pressure optimization, installation and start-up, and turnkey project management.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections on equipment prior to the equipment being sent to final test (per-inspect). Record findings on the defect log / defect database and work with production personnel to resolve the items.
  • Perform quality inspection on the equipment after final testing has been completed (final inspection). Note findings on the defect log / defect database and work with production personnel to resolve all items on the defect list prior to shipment.
  • Perform in process inspections and note findings on the defect log / defect data base.
  • Perform incoming material inspections.
  • Oversee the factory calibration system. Ensure items that require calibration are kept current. Remove any items that are past their calibration date from service.

Work with a 3rd party to have necessary tools calibrated.

  • Create Serial number labels and apply chemical labels to equipment as required.
  • Install door gaskets on equipment as required.
  • Log defective components identified by production personnel on the DMR log. Work with materials group to replace the defective component and if necessary inspect in house stock to ensure it is not a systemic issue.
  • Ensure final documents are assembled and signed off prior to equipment shipment.
  • Be a mentor to production personnel and assist them as necessary.
  • Supports manufacturing as needed to disassembles, reworks, or reassembles units as necessary to meet production schedules.
  • Works with manufacturing management, engineering and manufacturing support functions to improve the overall effectiveness, streamline production and other processes and quality of cell teams and the products we produce.
  • Works within appropriate cleanliness, quality, material handling and safety procedures.
  • Reports all injuries and / or near misses to supervisor immediately. Participates in and cooperates with accident investigations.
  • Becomes familiar with and practices all safety procedures. Seeks clarification or additional information when required.

Strictly adheres to requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE) and all safety rules.

Fully participates in assigned training programs. Attempts to perform only those tasks for which proper training has been received.

Notifies supervisor if faced with a task which is potentially hazardous to self or co-workers due to inadequate training or lack of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Coordinates with co-workers and other departments as necessary to maintain schedules and product quality. Packages & prepares equipment for shipment as needed.
  • Serves as information resource to peers, as necessary
  • Completes required documentation as assigned, including, but not limited to : time sheets, vacation requests, supply issues, etc Understand and follow all applicable ISO procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or as necessary to meet the needs of internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge & experience in various electrical and mechanical assembly techniques.
  • Experience with quality control systems and quality inspections.
  • Basic computer operating experience required. Google and MS Office
  • Knowledge of quality systems, processes, programs and technology to ensure quality systems adequacy.
  • The ability to read and understand drawings including tolerances and specifications.
  • The ability to effectively and reliably utilize various measuring devices, i.e calipers, scales, gauges etc.
  • Knowledge & experience in various electrical and mechanical assembly techniques
  • Proven knowledge of specific mechanical assembly techniques including mounting / installing hardware, plumbing / piping systems and various pneumatic and electro-mechanical components.
  • Familiarity with wiring and soldering techniques
  • The ability to use small hand and power tools as well as measuring devices.
  • Ability to use work instructions, drawing P&ID, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, wire run lists and / or other written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

The hourly rate range for this position in Minnesota is $25.00 to $27.00
