POSITION SUMMARY :
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the management of facility operations including but not limited to guest services, maintenance, housekeeping.
Event management tasks include gathering event details, communication and interaction with event organizers, and serve as Manager-On-Duty for select events.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING :
- Assist with scheduling of Part-Time team members
- Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility
- Manage venue heating and cooling schedule using a web-based platform
- Coordinate with city building manager on facility repairs and maintenance
- Oversees efficient conversion and transition between events
- Oversees the administration and high level of detail required in the organization of events
- To be on-site at events and take responsibility for the various aspects of managing personnel and production
- Build a good overall knowledge and understanding of the events in the company portfolio, their operational aims and their revenue streams
- Collaborate closely with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Food & Beverage, etc.)
- Ensures all health & safety, security, and facility maintenance procedures are followed
- Ensures events comply with safety regulations and staff is adequately prepared for events
- Hire, train, and educate staff on proper event and safety procedures
- Serve as Manager-On-Duty ("MOD") at certain key events
- Various other duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Associates degree or related degree / certificate to the position
- At least three (3) years of related experience
- Must have excellent interpersonal, project management and problem-solving skills
- Must be a team player, must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be willing to obtain CPR certifications
- Organized, efficient, flexible, and able to meet deadlines
- Able to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time in various conditions
