Help Desk Specialist

Systems Integration & Development (SID) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in Rockville, MD and is seeking a Help Desk Specialist.

This is a full-time position based in the Silver Spring, MD a rea.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Windows Server 2019 support
  • Hands on experience troubleshooting user Windows 10 systems, printers, servers, etc.
  • This Desktop Support Specialist will handle level 1 & 2 tickets
  • Work on multiple tickets or issues to satisfactory resolution. We use Jira as our ticketing system.
  • Keeping systems updated with patches from SCCM
  • Hardware support (desktop and laptops; printers; scanners)
  • Meeting and conference support
  • Active Directory account management
  • Email account management
  • IT policy support and implementation
  • IT Security patching, incident reporting, security processes
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of Service Desk / Help Desk support experience
  • Experience with and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with : Windows Operating Systems : Windows 10, MS Office Suite and Email
  • Ability to build or install new workstations (desktops and laptops), especially by applying a standard image
  • Windows Active Directory experience : user accounts, workstation accounts, groups, policy
  • Windows PowerShell
